Jackie Taylor – Director of Field Station Jackie Taylor, from the Lake Erie Islands Nature & Wildlife Center located on Put-In-Bay, has a degree in Ecotourism and Adventure travel and a background in Education. Her experience and education has brought the energy needed to continue running great programs for youths and adults who come to the field station and attend our school. She looks forward to expanding the outreach and education opportunities on Kelleys Island in a variety of ways.
MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR; Friends of the Kelleys Island Field Station: I would like to take a momenet to reach out to families and friends of the Kelleys Island Field Station during these challenging times and remind everyone that we are here to support you as you work to plan for the summer. We are in dynamic situation and things are quickly evolving. While we cannot predict the future, there is currently no reason to believe that camp will not happen this summer. Now is a time for paience, hope, and planning . We will continue to watch for guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and our state health department. We will look to the resources that are being shared with us every day and consult with our peers and advisors, before making deisions that could have lasting impactson our program opperations. As educatioal professionals, we are experts at building optimism and community in the face of fear and uncertainty. Our summer experiences teach resilience, determiation, kindness, and teamwork. I think we all need summer programs now more than ever before. We are staying positive and will continue to plan for the summer.
